About Jane McKee

Jane McKee is the current head of youth ministries for Outreach Israel, the sister of TNN Online editor J.K. McKee, and the daughter of Mark and Margaret Huey. Jane has been in the Messianic movement since 1995, and has showcased exceptional talent through both Messianic music and dance. She began her writing career in the eighth grade with the publication of an infamous essay entitled “Is the Doctrine of Pre-Tribulation Rapture Valid or Invalid?” at her dispensational Christian school. While highly controversial in content, this essay nonetheless received top marks. Yet, the headmaster warned her to not share this viewpoint with her classmates. Since that time, Jane continues to comment on issues that matter to Messianic young persons through speaking, various articles, and occasional editions of “Thoughts by Jane” in the Outreach Israel Newsletter.

Throughout her life, Jane has perhaps contributed the most in ministry through her musical expertise. Jane has been singing on stage since age three and currently supports a 4 octave range.  She is trained in both classical and jazz music, and also plays the flute, piano, and guitar. She has been a member of many Messianic congregational worship teams, Messianic conference worship teams, and is a soloist. She also has been participating on Messianic dance teams since age 12.

As a lone Messianic at Vanderbilt University, Jane was given the unique opportunity to share the Hebraic understanding of the faith with one of the largest Christian student organizations on campus, Campus Crusade for Christ. She took a highly active role during her tenure at the university acting as president for two years, vice president and head of prayer for one year, and a worship leader. Because of this experience, Jane has a heart for teaching those still in the Church a deeper understanding of their faith. She actively shared her personal testimony in both small and large groups in the effort to personalize what a real relationship with the Father could look like, so that her fellow students could identify and internalize that need. As a result, Jane has emerged as a great leader amongst her peers.

As a final act during her graduate years, Jane was able to facilitate the approval of a new Messianic student organization at Vanderbilt, which is headed by a local Messianic pastor. This was the culmination of one of her hopes for the future of the university, and she looks forward to seeing it grow in the years to come.

Today, Jane travels internationally speaking and working with college students concerning their leadership abilities and enhancing their organizational development skill sets. This is a direct result of utilizing her talents and love of working with young people to build them into better global citizens. While ministry continues to be at the heart of her work, she has found a unique call in reaching out to others regardless of their religious beliefs.

Jane is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in American history, and an M.Ed. in Organizational Leadership.
